Building More Than A Home in 5 Days

Moreno & Moreno Joins Habitat for Humanity Annual Event

If you were to say that Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that builds homes for low-income individuals and families, you’d be absolutely right. But you’d be a little wrong, too. That’s because Habitat for Humanity does much more than simply build affordable homes for families and people in need. In fact, by providing a place for people to live in dignity and safety, they are helping to build successful futures, stronger communities, and more resilient families. This is the reason why our team at Moreno & Moreno have helped and supported Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando.

For the 2nd year in a row, we participated in the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando’s Home Builders Blitz on behalf of Pulte Homes. During this year’s annual event, 8 builders joined together to build 9 homes in just 5 days, an amazing feat when a single home traditionally takes 60-90 days to be completed. We donated the labor and material for a home’s soffit and fascia, and the labor needed to install a set of railings that had been previously donated.

If you’re wondering how 9 houses can be built in just 5 short days, we’ll tell you it takes a considerable amount of planning and teamwork to orchestrate. The most impressive things you’ll witness isn’t just the speed in which the homes are constructed from the ground up, but the amazing energy that everyone has as they work together to complete a common goal.

Our Moreno & Moreno founder Emerson Moreno says the biggest reason why he continues to support Habitat for Humanity isn’t simply to give back to the community, but to also share the message that anyone can donate a day out of their busy schedule to make a difference to the lives of others. It is undeniable that working with the Habitat for Humanity has been incredible experience for our team at Moreno & Moreno.
